Meet The Therapist

microbustProfessionally

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, in private practice. I have been assisting many LDS men, women, and teens through Christ-centered, spiritually-based relationship healing via telephone therapy. Spirituality is a core part of us a children of God and when you couple your relationship with Jesus Christ and supplement that with therapy you begin to author a new understanding of yourself and how to  overcome difficulties you may have dealt with for years. Addictions, chronic relational conflict, Listen to Audiocast Introductiondepression, anxiety, divorce, blended families, pornography addiction, parent/teen relationships, same-gender attraction, sexual issues, and trauma are all areas that I am proficient and deal with weekly with my clients.

I have taught university classes on relationships, spoken at several national and regional conferences, presented to church groups and other local settings when invited. I currently operate and own my own practice and have for many years helping individuals, couples, teens, and families find answers, hope, and healing in themselves and their relationships.

Personally
I grew up in the Northwest in a large family. Much of my time is spent hiking and exploring the outdoors with my wife and kids. Challenge and adventure have always been part of what I enjoy so on a typical week you’ll find me reading new nonfiction literature, hiking a canyon, or playing with my family in a city park.

Blog
I created this blog as a venue for individuals that are not seeing a therapist and want simple dialogue around issues they are facing. This blog is not intended to replace mental health services but to provide psychoeducational information from a professional counselor currently in practice.
